Show our country you matter, that you use your voice for positive change, by registering to vote before May 23rd. Here are two easy ways to register:

    1. Visit the League of Women Voters on the Oceanside campus, by the Student Centerthey'll be there twice a week until May 20th. Or, the American Association of University Women will be on the San Elijo Campus on April 28th and May 14th. They’re legit, so don’t be afraid to talk with them and have them help you register.
    2. Also, you can go to http://registertovote.ca.gov/ for a really easy registration process.

Many important propositions and initiatives are on the upcoming ballotsissues relating to the environment, healthcare, business regulation, the minimum wage, education—and, of course, the Presidential Primary and Presidential election. These propositions and initiatives directly and indirectly affect all of us at MiraCosta and our communities.

*Well, technically, you don’t have to fight for this right because others before you have already. But you do have to use that right to VOTE! Have you ever been told voting doesn’t matter? Have you ever thought your voice doesn’t matter? Think about that for a moment…your voice doesn’t matter. What a powerful, dangerous, and false statement. But, if you don’t vote and don’t use this voice, there is silence, and there are some who stand to gain from your silence.
